Make-up Review |Ella&Lucy

Hey guys!
So today I thought I would do a review on some relatively new/recently purchased items. I'm basically just going to go through them and have a little chat about them.

MAC:
Firstly I'm going to talk about the MAC products. They are four lip glosses. The three matte ones are Cremesheen Glass and the glittery one is the Dazzle Glass. Unfortunately I don't know what the colours are of them because I got them all in a set for Christmas in a really cute little box. Before I talk about them I just want to say that they all apply so easily and they are so smooth. I have quite a lot of lip glosses and these are defo my faves. They also last a really good amount of time before you have to re-apply.
So the two I have here are more day time wear and nice neutral pinky colours. I usually use the paler pinky one to school and sometimes the rosier pink one. They are such gorgeous colours and also such a good quality!
These colours I'd personally save for when I go to parties or out for a meal as they are definitely much bolder to wear. The Cremesheen Glass is a deep purple howerver I don't really think that it turns out that dark on my lips. The Dazzle Glass is a perfect top coat for any of these, which is what I really like about it.

Urban Decay:

Onto Urban Decay. For Christmas I got the Naked 3 Palette. This is probably one of the first eye shadow palettes I have ever owned so I love trying out with it. It has some beautiful pink shades and even the darker colours in the palette have a rose gold shimmer going through them (not sure if you can tell from the picture)which is nice. I'm not really sure if the shades suit me but I'm still experimenting with me. (I have brown eyes). I also have to add in that the packaging is beautiful as well. Also, the the palette came with little testers of the different primer potions that Urban Decay have which is always a bonus.

Rimmel:

I got both of these items pretty recently but I've had enough time to kind of see what they're like.
The first item I got was the Wake Me Up concealer. It's easy to apply however I don't think it really suited my skin and it would get clumpy and almost cakey but I didn't look too bad. It does has a shimmer to it which I don't mind but if you want more of a natural look then just be careful with this. When I covered my spots with it, it covered them but again I found that personally it was just a bit too obvious. Overall it is a good product which I will use again sometime in the future.
This second product I got based on the fact that I had heard so many people rave about it so I was really excited to try it out. If you don't know what it is then it is a powder that basically sets your makeup all day.So far it seems to work well and I don't really have much else to say. I would definitely recommend this if you do find that your makeup comes off during the day like mine does!

Night time routine! | Ella&Lucy

Hey guys!
Today I'm going to be sharing with you my night time routine. It's kind of just normal to me but if you guys want to see what I get up to in the evening then keep reading!

So the first thing I do when I get home from school is that I have a snack. I usually chop up a carrot and have that with some humous... or if I can't be bothered to do that I have a biscuit. Whoops! After I've eaten that I go up to my room to do my 'homework'. It basically consists of me sitting there for an hour on social media ( Follow us on twitter!)and YouTube and then spending five minutes doing my homework before I have my tea.

After I've had my tea at about 5:30 I go back upstairs and finish any homework that I have to do. I like to do my homework the night I get it so that it is all out of the way.

Later on in the evening I like to get ready for bed. I just like to take off any make-up I'm wearing and maybe put on a moisturiser and lip balm. Usually before I put on my moisturiser I exfoliate my skin normally using the Clarins "Gentle Refiner Exfoliating cream with microbeads" which my mum gave to me as I have had quite bad skin lately. I love Clarins products because they are so,so gentle on your skin and because I have been having bad skin I don't really want anything too harsh. Also, if you would recommend any skin products I would love to know in the comments!

Then I just get into my pajamas and pack my school bag with the books and equipment that I would need for school the next day. Then I go downstairs and watch TV for a bit with my family.

After that I go up to bed. I brush my teeth and then get into bed and either read or watch YouTube videos. Right now I'm currently reading Harry Potter and The Order Of The Phoenix which I'm really enjoying!

I also just wanted to talk about a candle that I got today from Tesco for only £1. It smells amazing and I can't wait to try it! I give some feedback on it once I start burning it.

Anyways, thank you so much for reading! Will hopefully have another blog up shortly! Lots of love,

Ella

Balance Me Skincare | Ella & Lucy

Hey Guys!

Recently, I got given two samples of Balance Me skincare products. You may remember me briefly talking about it in a haul post I did a few weeks ago but now I have used it for longer, I have noticed a real difference in my skin that I want to share with you.

I got given two different samples. One was a serum and the other was a face wash. I use the serum juts at night and rub a small amount on any spotty areas of my skin or anywhere that is quite red. I put in on after  my moisturiser and let it soak in. In the morning, my skin feels cleaner, fresher and is clearer. It can come out the tube quite fast so make sure you put the right amount on not too much.

With the face wash, I put it on in the morning and at night to cleanse my face. This also has made a huge different to my skin and reducing my spots. Because it clears and prevents spots, I put this on all over my face but concentrating on spotty areas. Then I wash it off and dry my face. There is no fancy steps involved it is just like a normal face wash.

Both of these products were given to me by  lovely lady at the Too Faced counter in Debenhams. She specialised in skin care so I knew the products would be good and they are! They are completely natural and free of petroleum. Apparently, petroleum dries out your spots but doesn't completely get rid of them. This means they will come back quicker. These natural skin care products actually get rid of the congestion.

Basically, they're brilliant! I don't want to ramble on so I will end the post here! Hope you all enjoyed and let me know if you try these products out! 5 Things For A Rainy Day | Ella&Lucy

Hey Guys!

Today I thought I'd tell you about 5 things you could do on a rainy day. Of course there are more than  things to do but these are the ones I find most interesting. Hope you enjoy!

The first thing is to bake! I love baking as I think its just a really great way to calm down and have a bit of fun. I suggest maybe playing some music whilst you make because it can make it a lot more fun especially with friends! If you don't know what to bake, there are tonnes of cookbooks available and we have done a couple of cooking blogs previously like fun-fetti cupcakes and Oreo cookies if you want to check them out!

Next is to watch a movie! I find that getting your friends round and watching one or two movies (whilst you what you have baked!) can be very relaxing and fun. I recently watched Pirates Of The Caribbean- At Worlds End and I loved it! I highly recommend it. I also love The Hunger Games, Divergent and Harry Potter! (bit of a fangirl!)

The third thing is to play a game. Whether this is a board game, a card game or something like scene it on the TV it doesn't matter! Play with your family or friends and pick a game you all like! Make sure you have snacks around because everyone loves snacks and begin playing!

Another fun thing to do is just to be creative. I love colouring and would recommend the Harry Potter colouring book which I picked up a few days ago. I have done some of them and love it so much. Its such a great way to wind down.

The final thing is to have a pamper evening! There will probably be a blog soon on our typical pamper evenings but you can do what you like best it doesn't really matter.  I love lighting a candle as it really sets the mood!

That's all for this blog! Hope you all enjoyed and will blog again soon! Love you all!
